Who are the best sports influencers on social media? That is the question we set to answer. We came up with a nice group ranging from trick shot performers to fitness models to popular football fans (but we ruled out traditionally famous athletes – they don’t need our help.) The people below are more known for their social media presence than anything else. Did we leave out anyone? Tell us who your favorite sports influencers are in the comments section below.
Travis is more of a fitness influencer. Nonetheless, he deserves a top spot on here. Other than looking good, the L.A. native interests include animals, basketball, and acting. Be sure to follow him on his Instagram for more muscles, cats, and inspiration.
4. Carly Manning (Cheerleader) – Over 600,000 Followers Combined
Don’t tell Carly cheerleading isn’t a sport. This Oklahoma State all-star has amassed popularity since she was a little girl for her cheerleading videos. Carly was featured in Teen Vogue and was referred to as ‘Internet’s Favorite Teen Cheerleader’. Her undeniable hard work and competitive dedication to the sport has made her who she is.

5. Furious Pete (Fitness) – Over 5,000,000 Followers Combined
Pete is a competitive eater – yes, there is such a thing. In fact, he has participated in more than 90 eating competitions and holds 6 Guinness World Records. It’s pretty rare to find a guy who can eat a whole onion in 43.5 seconds or 17 bananas in 2 minutes or 15 hamburgers in 10 minutes, but he works it all off by his intense workouts. In fact, Pete remains to be one of the top bodybuilders on You Tube and Instagram.
6. Jude and Shoni Schimmel (Basketball) – Over 150,000 Followers Combined
The Schimmel sisters each deserve their own spot on this list. Shoni is a professional basketball player for the New York Liberty of the WNBA. She was an All-American college player at the University of Louisville and a first-round draft pick of the WNBA’s Atlanta Dream. Meanwhile, her other talented younger sister, Jude, also played for Louisville in college. They are both sponsored by Nike and proud Native Americans.
A professional skimboarder and longboarder? Yes, that’s Jack. He is best known for pulling off crazy stunts on his YouTube channel that has over 2 million subscribers. He also enjoys catching a wave or two in the ocean with his surfboard.
8. Legendary Shots – Over 700,000 Followers Combined
You don’t call get to name yourself ‘Legendary Shots’ for nothing. This band of misfits have thought about everything (almost) when it comes to making trick shots. They have done things beyond your wildest dreams and their creativity with these shots are what set themselves apart. Check out to profiles if you want to be amazed in awe.
9. Brandon Zingale (Sports Fan) – Over 100,000 Followers Combined
Brandon may be more of a fan than he is a sports or fitness influencer, but nonetheless, this guy belongs on here. He’s done numerous campaigns for sports related brands, and his love for teams from the Ohio State Buckeyes to the Cleveland Browns definitely comes through in his social media posts. Anything with Ohio on it, Brandon represents proudly, and his engagement is growing rapidly.
10. Rob Krager (Fitness) – Over 200,000 Followers Combined
Rob may not have a specific sport he’s known for, but you can always catch him being active on his Instagram. He posts anything from fitness, working out, food and much more. You may see him get a pic or two with some of your favorite professional athletes too.
Dude Perfect (Trick Shot)
These guys are so big that they don’t need our help with more exposure. In fact, we heard they just signed a deal for a TV show – not surprising as they just eclipsed 16,000,000 million subscribers on their YouTube channel!
Trey Kennedy (Basketball)
Don’t you wish Trey was your dad so he can also teach you how to play ball? Instagram
Sebastian Telfair (Basketball)
